1. The WebView Mobile Application

Our mobile application is a WebView-based wrapper of our website (https://kopotakkhopharma.com). The App provides a secure and seamless mobile interface for you to browse, upload prescriptions, consult, and order pharmaceutical and healthcare products. Any data collected or processed via the mobile application is securely handled by our main web platform in accordance with this policy.

2. Device Permissions We Request

To provide fully functional mobile features, the Kopotakkho Pharma App may request standard mobile device permissions. We only access these permissions with your explicit consent:

  • Camera Permission: To allow you to take real-time photos of your medical prescriptions or profile picture directly using your device's camera for upload.
  • Storage / Files / Photo Library Permission: To allow you to browse and upload existing prescription files, documents, or photos stored on your mobile device.
  • Network & Internet Connection: Required to connect the WebView App to our servers and load the online medicine shop.

You can grant or deny these permissions at any time through your mobile device settings. Restricting these permissions may limit your ability to upload prescriptions or use certain features within the App.

3. What Information We Collect

We collect several types of personal and sensitive information to provide, improve, and secure our pharmacy services:

A. Personal Identification Data

  • Account Details: Full Name, Phone Number, and Email Address. Phone numbers are specifically used for user verification via OTP (One-Time Password) and authentication.
  • Delivery and Billing Information: Physical Address, District, and Upazila to process and ship your medicine orders.

B. Sensitive Health & Medical Data (Prescriptions)


  • Prescription Images & Files: Because we are a licensed pharmacy platform, purchasing prescription-only medicines requires you to upload an image of a valid medical prescription from a registered physician.
  • Prescription Details: Information displayed on the prescription, such as the doctor's name, patient name, and prescribed medicines.
  • Security & Privacy Commitment: Your prescription images are treated with the highest degree of medical confidentiality. They are accessed only by our licensed pharmacists and fulfillment staff to verify the legality, dosage, and details of the ordered medicine.

C. Automated Technical & Device Data

  • Device information (IP address, mobile hardware model, operating system version, browser/WebView type).
  • App activity log, pages visited, time spent, and crash reports.
  • Cookies and local storage data to maintain your active login session and shopping cart items.

4. How We Use Your Information

We process your personal and sensitive data for the following essential purposes:

  • Order Verification & Dispensing: To allow our licensed pharmacists to review and verify your uploaded prescription before dispensing prescription-only medicines, as mandated by the Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) in Bangladesh.
  • Fulfillment & Delivery: To securely process payments and coordinate with our delivery partners to deliver your package to your doorstep.
  • Account Security & OTP Authentication: To authenticate your account login and registration securely using OTP (One-Time Password) via SMS.
  • Customer Care: To communicate with you regarding your orders, support requests, and updates.
  • Legal Compliance: To maintain records required by national drug administration laws, pharmacy practice standards, and to prevent fraudulent activities.

5. Data Sharing and Third-Party Disclosures

We respect your privacy and do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or sensitive data to any third parties. We only share necessary, minimal data with the following trusted services to facilitate transactions and deliveries:

  • Delivery Partners: Sharing your name, delivery address, and phone number with courier companies to deliver your medicines.
  • Payment Gateways: Standard transactions are securely processed via third-party integrations (such as SSLCommerz, bKash, Nagad, Aamarpay). We do not store your credit card or financial details on our servers.
  • SMS Gateways: Sharing phone numbers to send authentication OTPs and order tracking status SMS.
  • Regulatory & Legal Authorities: If legally required, we may share information with law enforcement or government authorities to comply with pharmaceutical regulations or court orders.

6. Data Retention and Security

  • Data Security: We implement strict technical and organizational measures (such as SSL/HTTPS encryption for data transmission and secure firewalled databases) to protect your personal and sensitive health data from unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.
  • Data Retention: We retain your personal and prescription information only for as long as necessary to fulfill orders, provide support, and comply with drug licensing record-keeping rules under Bangladesh law.

7. Account and Data Deletion Policy (Google Play Compliant)

We respect your right to control your data. You have the right to request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated personal information.

How to Delete Your Account:

  1. You can log in to your account, go to Profile / Settings, and select the Delete Account option.

What Happens Upon Deletion: Once a deletion request is processed, we will permanently delete or anonymize your profile details, order history, and uploaded prescription images from our active databases within 7-14 business days. Please note that certain transactional records or prescription logs may be retained in encrypted, inactive archives solely for audit purposes to comply with national pharmaceutical record-keeping laws.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our services are designed for individuals who are at least 18 years of age (or of legal age to buy medicine). We do not knowingly collect personal or sensitive information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately, and we will take immediate steps to remove it.
